Leslie McBride has built a career at the Ark-Tex Council of Governments through roles in accounting, human resources, and executive leadership. She joined ATCOG in 2014 as an Accounting Assistant, moved into Human Resources in 2015, and became Deputy Director in 2023.
In her current role, McBride supports all ATCOG programs and the executive office with day-to-day operations. Her responsibilities vary depending on the projects and priorities underway, but her focus remains the same, keeping operations running smoothly so ATCOG employees can provide their communities with the services they need.
“I absolutely love the people I work with at ATCOG!” McBride said. “I love helping staff and making sure they have everything they need. I also enjoy researching policies and seeing where we can make ATCOG better!”
Her background in accounting and human resources provides experience across different areas of the organization, while her current role allows her to support staff and programs throughout ATCOG. McBride said she particularly enjoys helping employees and researching policies to identify opportunities for improvement.
After more than a decade with ATCOG, McBride continues to play a role in supporting the organization’s daily operations and the employees who deliver services throughout the region. Her career reflects a progression through several areas of ATCOG, ultimately leading to her current position as Deputy Director.
