Since joining the Ark-Tex Council of Governments in April 2018, Marilyn Reed has been a familiar and welcoming point of contact for Housing program clients. As a Housing Assistant, her days begin by answering phone calls, responding to emails from coworkers and clients, and preparing re-examination and pre-application paperwork to help families navigate the Housing Choice Voucher process.
For Marilyn, the most rewarding part of her work is helping people feel supported. She enjoys answering questions, assisting tenants with their needs, and providing the customer service they rely on throughout the process. Whether helping someone understand program requirements or addressing their concerns, Marilyn takes pride in making each interaction a positive experience.
Marilyn says the relationships she’s built with her coworkers have made a lasting impact during her time at ATCOG. “I love my Housing Family. ATCOG IS THE BEST,” she shared.
Whether she’s assisting clients over the phone, preparing important paperwork, or helping someone better understand the housing process, Marilyn takes pride in making each interaction a positive one. Her commitment to serving clients and supporting her team continues to make a meaningful contribution to ATCOG’s Housing program.
