Texas law enforcement officers can now access specialized training in child abuse investigations through a free 2-day course offering 16 TCOLE credits. Taught by HITS, Inc. and sponsored by the Ark-Tex Council of Governments, this comprehensive training is open to all law enforcement officers, investigators, prosecutors, judges, victim coordinators, CASA/Children’s Advocacy Center staff, forensic interviewers, DFPS/CPS, and other professionals

Training Curriculum
The course covers essential aspects of child abuse investigations, including investigative techniques, different types of abuse, trial preparation, and commercial vehicle interdiction. This training equips officers with crucial skills for handling sensitive cases effectively.
