The Ark-Tex Council of Governments (ATCOG) is a governmental entity that accepts donations to support our regional programs and services. As a Council of Governments, we operate differently from charitable organizations:
- ATCOG does not conduct fundraising campaigns or actively solicit donations
- We do accept voluntary contributions that support our mission of regional cooperation
- All donations received go directly toward our community programs and services
When using our online donation platform, you may notice messaging about fundraising. Please note that while the platform itself may use fundraising terminology, ATCOG operates under governmental guidelines that prohibit active fundraising activities.

When donating, Zeffy will ask for an extra donation to help cover their costs as company. If you do not want to donate to Zeffy, simply select ‘Other’ and enter $0.00.
DESIGNATED GIVING
All donations given online go to the Ark-Tex Council of Government’s General Fund. If you’d like your donation to go to a specific program, please email admin@atcog.org immediately after your make your donation and indicate where you want your donated funds to go. In the event that a program, project, or giving purpose becomes overfunded, your gift will be applied where needed most. Additionally, for any designated funds for a specific project, the donor acknowledges the Ark-Tex Council of Governments has the authority to apply designated contributions to another purpose if the project is canceled or overfunded.
