Patricia Haley has spent 23 years helping strengthen public safety and community services across the Ark-Tex region, building a career shaped by experience across multiple programs and a long-term commitment to criminal justice coordination.
Currently serving as Criminal Justice Coordinator for the Ark-Tex Council of Governments, Haley works directly with the Office of the Governor – Public Safety Office and Criminal Justice Division to support local agencies seeking grant funding. In her role, she provides planning and technical assistance to criminal justice grant applicants and helps deliver regional law enforcement training and juvenile justice mental health services supported through Public Safety Office grants.
Her path to the coordinator role reflects years of cross-department experience at ATCOG. Haley began her career as an Information and Referral Specialist in the Area Agency on Aging before becoming a Regional Development Assistant supporting Criminal Justice, Economic Development, Environmental, Homeland Security and Transportation departments. Those opportunities later led to her work as a Criminal Justice and Transit Planner, and ultimately to her current leadership role coordinating criminal justice programs for the region.
“God has truly blessed me with a job that I love, and I value all the relationships built along the way!” Haley said.
Outside of work, Haley values time spent traveling and recharging with family. She describes her favorite vacation as her honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii, where she experienced beaches, mountains, cliffs and what she calls “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” along with a deep-sea fishing trip. Closer to home, Florida beaches remain a favorite destination because they are an easy day’s drive and offer time to relax and enjoy family activities.
Her personal mantra reflects the same principles she brings to her professional life, “Treat others the way you want to be treated and show the love of God to everyone He puts in your path.”
