For the past 11 years, Soc has been brightening passengers’ days as a TRAX driver with the Ark-Tex Council of Governments. When asked what he loves most about his job, his answer reflects his people-first attitude: “I love driving and meeting my passengers. They’re all really fun to be with, and they’re all really kind.”
His wisdom runs deep, and his advice to his younger self emphasizes the importance of education and following one’s dreams: “Make sure to graduate college and follow your passion,” he shares.
The nickname “Soc” has followed him since he was five years old, given to him by his uncle – ironically because he didn’t wear socks back then. This playful piece of personal history adds to his approachable character.
When he’s not behind the wheel, Soc cherishes family time. His favorite vacation memory is from a 2016 family reunion in Oklahoma, where he enjoyed a variety of activities including a football game, rodeo, racetrack visit, and casino entertainment.
Soc brings a wealth of experience and a warm smile to his position as a TRAX driver. Prior to joining our team, his professional journey included 22 years as a sergeant in the Army National Guard and 33 years with Coleman Cable, showcasing his remarkable commitment to every role he undertakes.
Earnest’s dedication, friendly demeanor, and rich life experience make him an invaluable member of our TRAX team. His story exemplifies how a career built on service to others creates lasting impact in our community.
