In 2012, Cody’s friend Price Lavender when from working part-time in the business to officially being a full-time employee. Two years later, Digital Effects once again needed more space. Cody purchased another building a few blocks away for the company’s apparel division. However, two buildings for Digital Effects meant twice the office staff for orders and sales.
Cody reached out to Ark-Tex Regional Development Company (ATRDC) in 2017 for his biggest move yet. With the help of ATRDC, Digital Effects secured an SBA 504 Loan for their next project.
Cody Stearman began designing decals and local sports team graphics in his garage with a small vinyl plotter. Through word of mouth, his business grew, and in 2005, Cody started Digital Effects. By 2010, Digital Effects had outgrown Cody’s garage, so he moved his company to West 15 Street in Texarkana, Texas.
In 2018, Digital Effects moved into a custom location, that allowed the whole business to operate under one roof. Digital Effects could do it all in house, operate vehicle wrapping, banners, screen printing, embroidery, and design. Cody and Price made sure every detail was perfect for the new location. Shelves were built to adjust, a second story for future expansion was included, and the iconic DE logo was cut into the sides of racks.
