Hazard Mitigation Planning Workshop

15th December 2015 @ 8:00 am - 16th December 2015 @ 5:00 pm

ATCOG is hosting a Hazard Mitigation Planning Workshop on Dec 15 – 16, 8 am – 5 pm in the EOC room. It is open to anyone who should be involved in the hazard mitigation planning process; but particularly, all stakeholders including county judges, mayors, emergency operations staff, public safety employees, and anyone responsible for providing required information in the planning process. The intent is to give them a better idea of what is involved in the hazard mitigation planning process and what FEMA requires. The class will be taught by Mitchell Osburn, Mitigation Plans Administrator with the Texas Department of Public Safety, and his staff. We are hopeful a representative from FEMA Region VI will also attend.

The class is free to everyone but we do ask that each person register at: https://www.preparingtexas.org/DeliveryDetails.aspx?classid=21682d91-088d-45b0-a5e9-59f583d02fdf. This course is offered through TDEM and participants will receive a certificate and credit for the class.
